Catholic Charities serves 750 holiday meals in annual Las Vegas tradition

Continuing its longstanding tradition, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada opened its doors on Christmas Day to serve more than 750 free meals to homeless and vulnerable men, women, and children in the community.

“Everybody, no matter who you are in this world or where you are in this life, we all have dreams, desires, and hope. And if we can help an individual start to restore their dignity of their self-worth, it makes every next step a little easier for them to accomplish what that goal is,” said CCSN president Sara Ramirez.

Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida received a donation Tuesday from the estate of Catherine Schouten that will support families across Bay County.The organization has been serving the area for more than 97 years. The president and CEO traveled to Bay County to receive the contribution and accept it on behalf of the nonprofit.
