Modern-style apartment building in Swansboro adds 83 lower-rent units for seniors

A week after celebrating dozens of new apartments for lower-income renters in Richmond’s Northside, local and state officials reconvened Monday to mark the completion of dozens more in the city’s Southside.

Mayor Danny Avula and others joined local nonprofit Project:Homes to cut the ribbon on 2100 Bainbridge, a 5-story building in the Swansboro neighborhood that adds 83 apartments for senior residents at or below 60% of the area median income (AMI).
