Serving veterans in need: a look at progress on Sacred Heart Veteran Village

On Memorial Day, a Genesee County nonprofit didn’t just honor those we’ve lost, but also those who feel forgotten once they return home with an entire community dedicated to helping veterans in need.

Veteran Daniel Vela serves as the AmeriCorps VISTA program coordinator for the Sacred Heart Veteran Village in Flint being built by Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties.
