Protest outside Butler County Jail amid fears 19-year-old ICE detainee’s transfer is imminent

Protesters gathered outside the Butler County jail Monday in support of a 19-year-old detained during an ICE raid on June 4, fearing he might be moved to another facility.

Records show that Emerson Colindres has been sitting in a Butler County jail cell after ICE detained him during an appointment to get an ankle monitor on June 4.

Several people took turns talking about Colindres at the protest while his mother, Ada Bell Baquedano Amador, fought back tears.
