Catholic Charities hosts celebration for women veterans

With this past weekend marking the 250th birthday of the United States Army, the celebration didn’t stop there, as the Texas Veterans Commission hosted a celebration honoring women veterans for Women’s Veterans Day.

Rita Gauthier, Director of Community Impact at Catholic Charities, said this is the first of many events for women veterans and military spouses, and it’s essential to come together as a community.

A new city soccer program is being called a tremendous success in San Jose. 'Saturday Night Lights' was a 10-week-pilot program that just wrapped up this month.The San Jose Earthquakes, Catholic Charities, the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office and several other groups partnered to make it happen.
