Giving back feeds Awilda Delvalle’s soul. She hands out food at the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. Community Center in Harlem each week.

"They say, 'Girl, we never see you with a sad face or my face. You always smiling,'” Delvalle said. “I say, 'That's the way I am. I'm always smiling.'"

Support sessions are this fall for those who’ve lost a loved one to suicide

Benita Triplett, LISW from Catholic Charities in Sioux City, says more people than ever have experienced losing someone to suicide.The organization Catholic Charities is working to provide support to members of the community through a free support group. The sessions are open for adults, ages 18 and up, who have lost a loved one to suicide at least 30 days before.

700 families across our region can stay a little cooler the rest of this summer thanks to Catholic Charities of Lubbock. Staff and volunteers gave out fans on Saturday morning.TXU Energy provided a $25,000 grant for the non-profit to provide them.
