Catholic Charities brings help, healing and hope with new Crystal River outreach center

Years ago, Catholic Charities had an outreach center at the end of the winding Atlas Drive off U.S. 19 in Homosassa. People could get a free hot meal from Blessings Soup Kitchen and clothing and groceries to bring home.

On Wednesday, Aug. 27, Catholic Charities cut the ribbon on its new outreach building – visible from the highway, on the county transit line, freshly remodeled and ready to serve the citizens of Citrus County, Catholic or not.
