Requirements for SNAP benefits set to change; Catholic Charities expresses concerns

As a result of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, there are changes coming to people who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, benefits.

“Lots of changes coming to federal benefit programs, including SNAP,” said Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada CEO Marie Baxter. “Largely having to do with who was exempt from needing to meet work requirements.”
