
Opinion: A north San Diego County men's shelter showed me the resilience of the homeless population

When I asked what Catholic Charities needed from the community, the answer was honed: time, talent and treasure. La Posada de Guadalupe, a shelter for homeless men and seasonal farm workers, is a pet-friendly facility that provides meals, laundry services, showers and a 50-bed dorm to the unhoused. “The most important benefit we provide is safety, physically and psychologically" said Antoinette Fallon, the director of homeless services for Catholic Charities in San Diego.
