Resource fair planned by Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Greensburg is hosting its first-ever Generous Hearts Family Resource Fair June 5. Melaney Hegyes, managing director for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Greensburg, is grateful for the many generous donations of baby supplies collected from parishioners in the Diocese of Greensburg who serve as volunteers for the Walking with Moms in Need program. 

“Our caseworkers handle over 1,000 calls requesting assistance per month,” Hegyes said. “While it may seem as if everyone knows we are here to help, it isn’t always the case, especially for those that have not had to seek out assistance before. We want to make sure people that have a need know where they can find assistance, not just from us, but from other agencies that will be joining us on this day.”
