Catholic Charities of Southeast Missouri’s Lifehouse Crisis Maternity Home provides refuge

A Heartland non-profit fulfills its mission to help homeless pregnant women. Since Lifehouse Crisis Maternity Home opened its doors in April, 11 women and eight babies have found refuge in the Cape Girardeau home. Heather Vashino and her son Mason are currently staying in the home. “I feel just so much love between me and him. He’s like my little partner,” said Vashino.
