There are two ways to help Catholic Charities house Galveston County homeless

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston last week announced a major win in the fight against homelessness and revealed a simple way for us all to help in that cause.

Leaders of the faith-based nonprofit said 50 Galveston County families would be moved from homelessness into stable homes thanks to a federal grant of nearly $1 million as part of a Rapid Rehousing initiative.

The Diocese of Wilmington has named Deacon Patrick Stokely as the new executive director of Catholic Charities, a ministry that serves all of Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.The appointment was announced Feb. 12, 2026, by Bishop William E. Koenig of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington.
