Catholic Charities Tioga County set to cut ribbon on community food truck

On February 6, after years of planning, the group will cut the ribbon on its new community food truck, Serving Hope on Wheels.

Made possible with grant funding, the truck will serve warm, nutritious meals to any community member in need. A representative of Catholic Charities says Serving Hope on Wheels is about dignity, access, and meeting people where they are.

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston last week announced a major win in the fight against homelessness and revealed a simple way for us all to help in that cause.Leaders of the faith-based nonprofit said 50 Galveston County families would be moved from homelessness into stable homes thanks to a federal grant of nearly $1 million as part of a Rapid Rehousing initiative.
