Catholic Charities handing out care packages to farm-working moms for Mother's Day

This Mother's Day, Catholic Charities Diocese of Monterey is launching a new program called "Heart of the Harvest," honoring farm-working moms for their work in the agricultural community.

"This is something that is a small token of appreciation from us, and gratitude for the impact that they have in our community, with their families and with our schools," Catholic Charities Director of Development Elena Prakash said. "They feed our country. They are the backbone of our economy, and this is a small opportunity for us to give them some love and appreciation for all that they are doing for us."
