South Portland approves agreement with state to provide transitional housing for asylum seekers

With the City Council's vote, MaineHousing and Catholic Charities will operate a temporary shelter at the Howard Johnson hotel in South Portland, where the 367 people – 165 children in hotels across the city will be moved during July.
